Convention Overview

The ECBACC Convention is our flagship annual gathering that celebrates the creativity, history, and future of Black comic arts and popular culture. Each year we bring together artists, writers, educators, collectors, and fans to highlight the depth and impact of African diasporic storytelling through comics, graphic novels, and related media. The convention features programming for all ages including panels, workshops, youth activities, and appearances by emerging and established creators. Exhibitors and partners showcase work that inspires connection and amplifies diverse voices. The event reflects our mission to support artistic expression, encourage literacy, and strengthen community through the shared experience of Black comic arts.
